it aint much, but I love it. My Hazel Atlas bowl.

The past couple of weeks have been blah when it came to thrifting and garage sailing. The one thing worth mentioning is this cool Hazel Atlas bowl. I really love the color of the pattern.
This bowl isn't a shelf sitter, its being put to work. Already being used for home made pizza sauce! YUMMmm. Cooking is always more fun when you use old stuff.

  1. Thrifting has been a bit lackluster in Chicago too, the estate sales especially have been bad (mainly 80s/contemporary). I like your bowl & am happy to see it being put to good use. That pizza looks super delicious!

  2. I'm glad your pizza turned out tasty! Now I'm a bit sad I didn't grab that bowl first :)

  3. Due to Pyrex prices being sky-high these days, I'm starting to collect glass made by other companies like Hazel-Atlas, Federal and Glasbake. You can even find relatively cheap Fire-King in some of the less-collected patterns and colors. I think I have a mug in that same H-A pattern and I like it, too!

  5. Great bowl! I love buying mid-century pieces that are tough enough to be used. I use my Russel Wright china every single day and run it through the dishwasher just like I would new china, and it's perfect. They really knew how to make things back then.
